Location Northumberland, England. Stamfordham lies on the River Pont about 13 miles north east of Hexham. |
In the centre of the village green is the ancient Market Cross
which was erected in 1735 by a Swinburne. The village had its own pele tower, which, in 1848, was incorporated in the church. |
