| Robsons are
from Redesdale in Northumberland. Falstone, near Bellingham, is believed to be the original location of the Robson family. The surname is very numerous in Northumberland. The Robsons were an active reiving family raiding over the Border into Scotland and also into lowland Northumberland. The were at times at feud with the powerful reiving clan, the Armstrongs.
